Critical Thinking and Media Literacy
Critical Thinking and Media Literacy
Critical thinking and media literacy are essential skills in today’s digital world, where we receive information every day from different sources. During my English learning process, I have learned how important it is to analyze and evaluate information from the media, such as news websites, social networks, videos, and online articles.
Understanding English helps me identify reliable information and recognize fake news or misleading content. When I read or watch something in English, I try to question the message, check the source, and compare it with other information. This process helps me form my own opinions instead of accepting everything as true.
Media literacy also helps me understand how language can influence people’s ideas and emotions. By learning English, I can better analyze headlines, images, and messages used in the media. These skills are important not only for improving my language abilities but also for becoming a more informed, critical, and responsible citizen in today’s society.
